The analysis of main problem has been formulated in designing of contra-rotating propeller couple. It is contemplated the ideas in regards of the choice of design mode for forward propeller and after propeller, it is presented the background of the choice of mode basing on the results of propulsion tests of twin-screw propellers and calculations for twin-screw propellers. In the paper:

It is presented comparative data for model tests and calculations for propellers.

It is presented the results of computer calculations of periodic forces on after propellers.

Cavitation aspect is analysed as well as various options of propeller reversing.
